Laid Off? Not Working? Here are Other Ways to Make Money...

Here are two ways I currently make some extra $$. It's not exactly cash, but you do receive gift cards, which can be used for groceries, dining, etc. I redeemed some points recently and got $75 in Visa/Mastercard gift cards. Does this happen overnight? Nope. But you can do this while watching tv, while the kids are at soccer practice, whenvever. Doesn't take a lot of time and it's absolutely free.
1. MyPoints. Get points by reading emails, shopping, and completing surveys...then turn those points into gift cards! If you shop online (including Amazon), go to your MyPoints account first, click through the link to where you want to shop, and you can really increase your points. Go to https://www.mypoints.com?rb=24491637.
2. Fetch Rewards. Get the app, sign up, then start scanning your grocery receipts. It's seriously easy. Go here https://fetchrewards.onelink.me/vvv3/referralemail?code=C9FTX

Check and see if the State of Texas owes you money! Sometimes we close bank accounts...we pay utility deposits...we have a refund on something from insurance from a doctor's bill or insurance claim...and for whatever reason, maybe we moved or our address wasn't correct, or the check never made it to us...and those checks that never cleared have to be reported to the State of Texas. The State then holds those funds. This is a great time to check and see if they are holding anything for you by clicking here. You'll want to be sure and search by any names you have used in the past, like your maiden name. I would also check your business or company you work for, family, etc. Maybe if you see that your momma is owed some funds, she'll be forever grateful and give you some of that cash! Same goes for businesses, churches, etc.

If you have a sales background and love helping people, my friend Natalie is a LegalShield representative. You can find out more about that opportunity by going to www.nataliegutierrez.com

COUPONING - Again, not exactly cash in your pocket, but it results in extra cash in your pocket. If you saved $5 a week by using coupons for stuff you're already buying, that's $260 a year. And you don't even need to buy the Sunday newspaper anymore. If you sign up for MyPoints above, they have a section for Grocery Coupons. Just print the ones you need. Not only are you saving money, you're getting more points!

ELECTRICITY - You may save money on your electric bill by using Energy Ogre. I started using their service last summer when I was shopping around for a new provider. Their proprietary technology analyzes hundreds of available plans, including some available ONLY to Energy Ogre, and considers all market variables to find the best plan for you. They also handle the entire contract process and take care of all of your customer service needs. I've been EXTREMELY happy with their service. Click here to see how much they could save you for just $10 a month!

So do you have something that makes you some extra money? Let's help each other out! Share in the comments!
